U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to Invest $323,503,295 to in Coastal Virginia Water Infrastructure Projects

Today, Congresswoman Elaine Luria announced that Virginia's second Congressional District will receive $323,503,295 through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' updated work plans. The new funds were made available through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and Disaster Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2022, which Congresswoman Luria supported.

"The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act continues to provide historic investments in our infrastructure here in Coastal Virginia," Rep. Luria said. "These federal investments will help Coastal Virginia build resiliency, mitigate the impacts of climate change, and ensure our economy continues to thrive. These projects will be transformative for our port infrastructure and will bring good-paying jobs to our area."
